Dec 17 Raiatea – kayak on the Faaroa River

First morning as we approach the island of Raiatea. It’s difficult to beat tropical skies. I’m not superstitious but for those that are, this rainbow certainly set the stage for the trip.

There’s a plunge pool right next to the hot tub for those times that you couldn’t get into the ocean.

This was our first good view of the effects of a reef on the power of the ocean.
